I delve into a realm where sound becomes pure data and this is part of my journey, a digital tapestry from the binary of 1s and 0s. This mixtape is an exploration of sonic architecture, where Microsound and Lowercase genres intersect with Rhythmic Noise, IDM, Glitch, and Hyperglitch, creating a landscape of my auditory experimentation.
Each track is a crafted algorithm, a sonic equation calculated to evoke emotion and provoke thought. It’s a study in minimalism, where every beat, glitch, and frequency shift serves a purpose. As you listen, envision the code streaming through circuits, transforming into waves of sound, a manifestation of the beauty of mathematical precision in audio. Showing complexity of a sound, and witness the convergence of science and art in the realm of digital expression. It’s a sonic experiment, an exploration of the boundaries of auditory perception, and a testament to the power of calculated composition.
Firmansyah Risman, as known as Methclass, is an artist hailing from Bandung, Indonesia. Since 2019, he has embarked on a creative journey, seamlessly blending live coding and music production into a captivating artistic expression. This amalgamation of disciplines has defined Methclass’s distinctive approach.
Methclass’s foray into live coding began with Orca, subsequently leading him to explore a myriad of programming environments including Pure Data, Max/MSP, SuperCollider, and Processing, Shader, P5js, Processing. It was Foxdot and Kodelife that he discovered an unparalleled affinity, making them pivotal tools in his artistic approach. Also methclass has just released its newest track entitled Ether Circuit.
