This “Rojak Champloo 45” is an eclectic groovy mix created with a concept of using all 45s vinyl of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia music from 60s to 70s. Music genres varies across A-Go-Go, Funk, Psyche, and more grooves from Nanyang and Nusantara region. Let’s groove and Joget!
Itch is a DJ and a vinyl collector, based in Singapore. Itch’s musical journey is inspired by the Singapore and regional “local exotic funk a-go-go” music from the ’60s to ’80s, such as Nanyang A-Go-Go or Hala-Hala, Malay Funk, Chinese Disco, Pop Yeh Yeh, Asian City Pop, Japanese City Pop, and other groovy exotic Asian music. His vinyl DJ set specialises in Asian sound and introducing the forgotten local music gems to modern listeners, and brings back nostalgic vibes for old-timers.
Itch has appeared in various events/festivals in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, and Taiwan. Currently, he is a resident DJ at Singapore Community Radio program “NIGHTCAP”, introducing Citypop and Asian Boogie.
